Opening: "Observations of the World Captured in Paintings"

With a return to painting, it’s also time to return to exhibitions.

After a few years’ break, together with Galeria Anielska in Bemowo, Warsaw, I organized an exhibition of my watercolor works inspired by the beauty of the world around us.

Coming back to art - with some distance - I started to think about what it was really about for me, what I actually enjoyed in it, and what drew me to it from the beginning. That led me back to the roots and to seemingly simple subjects - landscapes, views - where my journey with watercolor began.

No overthinking, no forcing deep meanings. Just the joy of creating.

This is how the idea for this exhibition came about.

It’s about seeing and noticing beauty - both the obvious and the kind hidden in everyday scenes and places. About observing light, color, and atmosphere as they change throughout the day and the seasons.

It’s also about balancing the lightness of watercolor with the contrast of light and the weight of shadow, in search of composition, expression, and the joy of creating.

That’s all - and quite a lot.
